    Your Yearly Dementia Test

Maybe you have already seen this one, if not enjoy:

    Your Yearly Dementia Test

It's that time of year to take our annual senior citizen test.
Exercise of the brain is as important as exercise of the muscles. As we grow older, it's important to keep mentally alert. If you don't use it, you lose it! Below is a very private way to gauge your loss or non-loss of intelligence.
Take the test presented here to determine if you're losing it or not. The spaces below are so you don't see the answers until you've made your answer.
OK, relax, clear your mind and begin.

    1. What do you put in a toaster?

Answer: “bread.” If you said “toast,” give up now and do something else.
Try not to hurt yourself. If you said, bread, go to Question 2.

    2. Say “silk” five times. Now spell “silk.” What do cows drink?

Answer: Cows drink “water.” If you said “milk,” don't attempt the next question.

Your brain is over-stressed and may even overheat.

Content yourself with reading a more appropriate literature such as Auto World.

However, if you said “water,” proceed to question 3.

    3. If a red house is made from red bricks and a blue house is made from blue bricks and a pink house is made from pink bricks and a black house is made from black bricks, what is a green house made from?

Answer: Greenhouses are made from glass.

If you said 'green bricks,' why are you still reading these???
If you said 'glass,' go on to Question 4.

    4. It's twenty years ago, and a plane is flying at 20,000 feet over Germany (If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into West Germany and East Germany ). Anyway, during the flight, two engines fail. The pilot, realizing that the last remaining engine is also failing, decides on a crash landing procedure. Unfortunately the engine fails before he can do so and the plane fatally crashes smack in the middle of “no man's land” between East Germany and West Germany .

Where would you bury the survivors, East Germany , West Germany , or “no man's land”?

    Answer: You don't bury survivors.
If you said ANYTHING else, you're a dunce and you must stop.

If you said, 'You don't bury survivors', proceed to the next question.

    5. Without using a
calculator- You are driving a bus from London to Milford Haven in Wales .

In London , 17 people get on the bus.
    In Reading ,
6 people get off the bus and 9 people get on.
    In
Swindon, 2 people get off and 4 get on.
    In Cardiff ,
11 people get off and 16 people get on.
    In Swansea ,
3 people get off and 5 people get on.
    In Carmathen,
6 people get off and 3 get on.
You then arrive at Milford Haven.
Without scrolling back to review, how old is the bus driver?

Answer: Oh, for crying out loud!
Don't you remember your own age? It was YOU driving the bus!!

If you pass this along to your friends, pray they do better than you.

    Weekend of Adventure!!

Hey gang! I hope y'all are well and happy this beautiful Monday morning! This weekend was busy, busy, busy! It started off on Friday evening with mom and I heading out to Walmart to buy the 42" Vizio FHDTV that was on sale for $648! My brother Charlie checked the website and it said that McHenry, Crystal Lake, Harvard and Huntley all had them in stock. Mom and I decided that since McHenry wasn't a supercenter yet that we would head to Crystal Lake first. We got there and they only had the display model left. So the kid called around to the other McHenry County Stores and wasn't having much luck locating the item! He finally found the item at the Huntley Supercenter! We asked him to put a hold on it and we would head over there right then. So we did! Did I mention mom hates driving on Randall Rd. She can't stand driving it during the day b/c of how busy it is much less on a Friday night! But she bucked up and drove 2 miles of it down to Algonquin Rd and we got to Huntley and purchased the TV. We got home around 9p that night and took it out of the box and set it up! We didn't turn it on and watch it until Saturday morning. Mom absolutely loves it! She has been waiting for it to go on sale and it finally did!

On Saturday we went with my brother Charlie and his wife and daughter to the Autumn Drive in Franklinville! We had a great time walking around and checking out what all the crafters wares were! Found some really cool stuff, but unfortunately, they were a bit pricey for our taste. We did get some bandana's for the dogs and some Kettle Corn of course. Then mom and I went to the opening of Toyland at Farm & Fleet and checked out their items this year. We wound up buying my niece a winter coat, gloves and hat while we were there. Then we headed home and took naps before going to the grandparents to celebrate Grandpa's 86th birthday! We had a great time at the grandparent's listening to all the stories of their childhood and then headed home since mom had to work Sunday morning.

Yesterday, I just relaxed and got online at the library for a bit. Then went home and watched some dvd's before calling it a night and hitting the hay!

This week I have a couple of job interviews and some meetings to go to! So I will be staying pretty busy! Thankfully the weather is supposed to warm up a bit this week!

Well that is all for now! I hope y'all have a "Super Duper" Week!

    Peace!!!

    Out!!

Hey gang! I hope y'all are well and happy! I apologize for not being here for awhile again! I do check my subscriptions a couple times a week, but as for posting I really have not had anything to say! That is until now!

I have finally, come out to my family and friends at home and online. This was done after I had tried to seek answers in the church and my home church was uncomfortable talking about it so I sought the answers elsewhere. It finally came to a  head when I was met with hostility at one church and told by the pastor that there is no hope for anyone who is gay or struggles with homosexuality. His words..."Bottom line is if you are homosexual or struggle with it the Bible clearly states that Homosexuality is an abomination and you will not get to heaven!" When I said that was harsh, that the God I know sent his son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins on the cross he told me to look up any scripture that talks about homosexuality in the NT. It is only in the OT so therefore the blood of Jesus does not cover homosexuality. So there ya have it guys and gals. I have left the church and have decided that since there is No Hope then I might as well not struggle any longer! Therefore, I am out and happy! I feel like a tremendous burden has been lifted off of my shoulders. I  have struggled with being gay all my life. When I was in Bible college I was even strongly encouraged to attend "Deliverance" Conferences (sort of like Healing Crusades). None of them worked. I was only able to abstain from sexual acts, and was not healed or "Delivered"!
Please do not judge or condemn me for what I am saying. I only ask that you accept me for who I am! Scripture clearly states that we as christians should not judge unless we would like to be judged. I know that I and only I will have to answer for my actions (if they are wrong) at the judgment seat of Christ! Most of my family and friends have been understanding and accepting of this (although most of my friends do not agree with me). I have however lost a few friends and have been asked not to return to my home church out of fear for their children. lol! Anyway, that is what has been happening! I  hope y'all will be accepting and not pass judgment or condemn me for who I am!
